Meta TV App

The meta tv app has changed. If you had used the option to cache a high resolution video to the headset, how do you delete the cache version off the headset since meta has deleted many of the videos. That cache version is now just gigabytes of wasted space on the headset.

    Hi Skyquest1164

This method is best for managing all videos saved to your device.

    1. Open Quick Settings. Put on your headset and press the Meta (or Oculus) button on your right controller to open the universal menu.
    2. Go to Settings. Select the clock on the left side of the universal menu to open Quick Settings, then select the "Settings" gear icon.
    3. Navigate to Storage. From the menu on the left, select General, then Storage.
    4. Find videos. You will see a breakdown of your storage. From the dropdown menu, select Videos.
    5. Delete the video. Find the cached video you want to remove from the list, and select the delete icon to remove it.

We really hope this helps you out! Have a good day.

  • My question is why did they overhaul this app to remove all the great VR content that it used to have before, and all the user generated content that injected variety and diversity into the Oculus/ Quest environment?  How can we get all that back?
I downloaded some of these VR videos to show people and showcase the cool VR tech that we can use to now enjoy seeing new places and doing new things virtually, and now, POOF! it's all gone.  Two thumbs down.
