MetaQuest 3 - Beatsaber not working

So I keep trying to use Beatsaber, it logs in, but I get stuck on the health warning screen. I can't click continue, it just shows feet on the ground with a controller. I tried putting everything on the ground, nothing. I hit ALL the buttons, nothing. I can't get past the screen. I restarted the headset, shut it down and rebooted from powered down, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app 2xs, still same thing, just stuck on the health screen and can't move past. Anyone know how to get into the game?

    Hi there Rebelandduke !

Thanks for reaching out, and we’re sorry to hear you’re having trouble launching Beat Saber.

To help narrow things down, could you let us know if you're experiencing the same issue with other apps or games on your headset? If Beat Saber is the only one affected, we recommend contacting Beat Saber’s support team directly, as they’ll be best equipped to assist with game-specific issues.

However, if you're seeing similar problems across multiple apps, it may be related to your headset's tracking or setup. In that case, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    1.Reset Guardian History

Press Meta button → Settings → Boundary → Clear Guardian History

    Restart headset and recreate boundary

    2. Check Tracking

    Replace controller batteries

    Unpair/re-pair controllers via Settings

Hold Meta button to re-center view
    3. Optimize Play Area

Use even lighting (no direct sunlight)

    Remove mirrors or reflective surfaces

No, I’m not experiencing issues with other apps—Supernatural and others are working perfectly. My boundaries are set correctly (I even reset them) and I’ve recentered the view multiple times. I’ve also restarted the headset several times. Everything else runs fine; the problem is only with Beat Saber.

When I launch it, all I see is the health and safety warning, feet on the floor, and the controller on the ground—but there’s no option to click Continue. I’ve already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app multiple times, as well as resetting the headset to factory settings and reinstalling all apps. The headset is fully updated, but Beat Saber still refuses to run.

This is frustrating since I’ve invested a lot into the game and just purchased the Sabrina Carpenter song pack, which I can’t even access now. The game worked fine as of August 9th, but since then it simply won’t load.

        Hello Rebelandduke!

Thanks so much for confirming that the issue is only happening with Beat Saber!

In that case, the best next step would be to reach out directly to Beat Saber’s support team. Since the problem appears to be isolated to that specific title, their team will have the most accurate tools and insight to help resolve it quickly.

We know how important it is to get back into the rhythm, and we’re confident they’ll be able to assist you further. If anything changes or you notice similar behavior with other apps, feel free to reach out to us again, we’re always here to help!

  • I have the same problem with Beat Saber. Headset factory reset and uninstalling Beat Saber did not help. But in my case, this error is present when using the Touch Pro controllers.

Beat Saber works with the regular Quest 3 Touch controllers but when I pair Touch Pro again if have the same issue again. The Touch Pro controllers work flawlessly in all other apps though.

So the question is: Is it a Horizon OS issue or a Beat Saber issue?

Oh wow, that's a good call out... I am also using the Pro Controllers. I haven't tried the standard controllers as Beat Saber has been working with my Pro Controllers since I got them. I played Beat Saber on August 9th with my Pro controllers, but haven't been able to get into the app in the last two weeks. Wonder if there was an update that either wasn't extended to the Pro Controllers so they stopped working, or vice versa, the controllers got an update that Beat Saber app doesn't support. I will have to try my standard controllers when I get home to find out. (Note: Factory resetting the headset and reinstalling everything fresh also does not help.)

There was an update for Beat Saber 6 days ago.

So, if your controllers worked before that, you could downgrade the game to the previous version to see if you can start the game as usual.

If so, send a mail to

    contact@beat-games.com,

so that they know about the pro controller issue.

I am in contact with Beat Saber now. I did try to use a previous version of the game, but that did not work. I will let them know I'm using a Pro Controller.

        What did not work?

The downgrade? Or playing with the pro controllers on the previous version?

Downgrading the pc version worked fine......I just did that a few days ago, because the pc version doesn't start anymore since the update.🙄
