Hey there Goku2379gojo!
Thanks for posting on the Meta Quest Community Forums!
I understand how it can be frustrating when you're super excited to play a game when a new update has dropped, especially when its a huge one like 1.0 and it just doesn't want to run.
Firstly, could I suggest you try to reinstall the game? Sometimes installations can go wrong and cause issues like the one you are experiencing.
Secondly, if that doesn't help solve your issue could I ask the following so I can get a better understanding as to what may be causing the issue?
- are you playing Blade and Sorcery connected to your PC through SteamVR/Quest Link or are you playing it standalone on the Meta Quest Headset?
- Does the issue only occur when you are trying to run Blade and Sorcery?

I’m playing standalone and the issue occurs when I try to open the game from the universal menu I’ve also tried uninstalling and reinstalling

I see, do you have any mods installed for Blade and Sorcery?
If you do, I'd suggest uninstalling the mods for now as that could be a possible cause for the issue. You could also try clearing the app data in your headset settings.
- Go to Settings -> go to storage ->go to blade and sorcery nomad then click "clear app data".
- However do not that doing so might delete your character save file
If the issue only occurs with Blade and Sorcery, MetaStoreHelp aren't able to help with individual game issues, I'd recommend you contact the Blade and Sorcery developers for further support here: B&S Support

Hey again Goku2379gojo,
When cloud backup is turned on, Meta backs up your device's app data, such as app progress or app settings, to the cloud. This allows you to easily pick up where you left off in a game if you reinstall an app, factory reset your device or set up a new device.
So long as you login in the device with your Meta Account all your app's progress or settings will be saved and should automatically be applied once you have setup your headset and logged in with your Meta Account.
However, before you do a Factory Reset, I just want to confirm that you have certainly bought Blade and Sorcery? Because I remember this occurring once to me before when I haven't purchased a game and it will direct me to the store page.
I can also route you over to MetaStoreHelp who can help look into this issue further as they have more resources than I would.

So I’m actually using another account with app sharing (basically I’m using an account that’s not the owner of the device)

Ahh I see, I would check on the main account if app sharing is enabled, that might be the cause!

So the account situation is I’m using an account that isn’t a device owner the account I’m using currently has all the games but the device owner account doesn’t the device owner account has only free games

I see now, okay, try to disable app sharing to see if that works.
Since the main account holder doesn't have the game purchased, it might be defaulting to his account that is why you are being redirected to the store page to buy the game.
If not try making your account the main account on the device, it If you want to change the device owner on your Meta Quest headset, you will need to factory reset your device. A factory reset wipes everything off your device and returns it to the software state that it was in when you first took it out of the box.

Did it help i just started playing again since i heard 1.0 was here deleted all the mods reinstalled the game and even factory reset my headset but still it wil not open i want to play really bad

I’m having the same issue, but it’s affecting multiple games. Blade and sorcery, Batman, beat saber, and possibly more. Most games are fine, but certain games wont either install or update and if you delete the game you’re trying to update it won’t install. I’ve seen multiple reports of this and there has to be a better option than factory resetting. Something is wrong on Meta’s end.
