Thanks for posting on the Meta Quest Community Forums!
I understand how it can be frustrating when you're super excited to play a game when a new update has dropped, especially when its a huge one like 1.0 and it just doesn't want to run.
Firstly, could I suggest you try to reinstall the game? Sometimes installations can go wrong and cause issues like the one you are experiencing.
Secondly, if that doesn't help solve your issue could I ask the following so I can get a better understanding as to what may be causing the issue?
- are you playing Blade and Sorcery connected to your PC through SteamVR/Quest Link or are you playing it standalone on the Meta Quest Headset?
- Does the issue only occur when you are trying to run Blade and Sorcery?

I’m playing standalone and the issue occurs when I try to open the game from the universal menu I’ve also tried uninstalling and reinstalling

I see, do you have any mods installed for Blade and Sorcery?
If you do, I'd suggest uninstalling the mods for now as that could be a possible cause for the issue. You could also try clearing the app data in your headset settings.
- Go to Settings -> go to storage ->go to blade and sorcery nomad then click "clear app data".
- However do not that doing so might delete your character save file
If the issue only occurs with Blade and Sorcery, MetaStoreHelp aren't able to help with individual game issues, I'd recommend you contact the Blade and Sorcery developers for further support here: B&S Support

When I do clear the app data it doesn’t work still and sometimes for some weird reason it sends me to the store page even though I have the game
- Go to Settings -> go to storage ->go to blade and sorcery nomad then click "clear app data".
