New navigator Update Noticeable Issues

I've noticed After updating my oculus that I can no longer multitask using audio. I have a sneaky suspicion that this was purposely done As I've seen, other tech companies do similar things, as in taken away Once enabled abilities of your product Through updates. This is extremely frustrating to the point where I made a thread Hoping somebody Could answer my question on why they disabled this multitasking feature. For example, if I'm playing poker and want to listen to Youtube Once I open Youtube and slide it to the side and try to resume my game that no longer can control it It takes my controls away from the game. Also, if I'm using big screen Beta and I get a phone call, it pauses my video and will not let me play the video unless I mute the sound in the video or hang up my phone call. So obviously this update took away the ability to multitask with audio.. The most exciting part was to multitask with my oculus. Now that I can no longer do it. I'm considering on selling Because it seems like these guys are following the same trend as money makers, and they will make us pay for this option I expect in the future When we once had the ability to do it. Knowing that they did this And seeing how things are messing up after every update and getting worse and D evolving I figured I probably wouldn't hang around for the ride Because this is also extremely upsetting

  • Also, what is sad is that I was boasting the oculus to my friends.. To the point where I was going to buy them one But I'll probably be doing the opposite now. Shame on the developers or Mister zuckerberg, if he had anything to do with it

Maybe it is a bug from the last update. My microphone just quit working after my headset updated. Might be the case with yours.

Just a quick headsup. Try to keep your opinion within one post. Multiple posts one after the other can be flagged as spam by the system and get you banned. Try to put it all together first time around.

Wow, bold take. Navigator is literally just the UI layer, not the OS, but sure - let's pretend it's some all‑powerful audio‑gobbling overlord.

And "audio multitasking" being removed? From what evidence? Because from here it looks less like Meta secretly nerfed your headset and more like you're mixing up app focus, audio focus, and whatever you think was happening before.

If you've got actual patch notes or dev statements, great - bring receipts. If not, maybe don't jump straight to "Meta is removing features so they can sell them back to us later." That's not analysis, that's fan‑fiction with extra seasoning.

Funny thing is my microphone stopped working after the last update. So maybe there is some truth to the OP's concern about audio multitasking not working anymore.

Maybe instead of sounding like you're dismissing their claim and not trying to help you should just not comment. You're not helping anyone with the attitude.

I get that a broken mic is annoying - nobody's saying your issue isn't real. But one person's hardware glitch doesn't magically turn speculation into a confirmed system‑wide feature removal. If it did, every random bug after an update would count as "evidence," and we'd all be wearing tinfoil headsets.

I'm not dismissing anyone's problems; I'm pushing back on conclusions that aren't supported by anything beyond frustration. There's a difference between troubleshooting and assuming Meta is secretly rewriting audio behavior on purpose.

If the OP wants help diagnosing what's actually going on, great - I'm all for that. But jumping straight from "something broke on my end" to "Meta removed audio multitasking" is exactly the kind of leap that makes these threads harder to sort through, not easier.
