People App

The people app isn’t allowing us to make or accept calls. I read somewhere to uninstall and reinstall People but I can’t find any way to do it

    Hey there Jasonpizzacrust!

     

    We hear you're having problems with the people app, that's of course not optimal to fully enjoy the immersive virtual world experience, we would love to take a look into this and help you out.

    Now, as our dear Choleni has already mentioned, the people app is part of the OS, so there is no way to actually uninstall it, but there are a few things that we can try to get this issue fixed for you. 

     

    Firstly, checking if your Wi-Fi is connected and has no trouble communicating with your Quest headset. Third-party accessories like headset covers might block signals going through to your headset, so if you're using any accessories from third-parties, then please remove them.

     

    Secondly, have you done any changes in your settings recently that might have caused this? If so, then we would recommend changing them back to normal as they could have created this problem.

     

    And lastly, a fresh restart of your Quest could also solve this problem, you can do a fresh restart with the following:

     

    1. Hold the power button down until the shutdown options appear.
    2. Power off the headset. Do a full shutdown, not just a restart.
    3. Wait 30 seconds.
    4. Power the headset back on.
