I agree, not only do the only ones look sharper but they were way less intensive. I loved watching movies in the bubble void environment but now my battery life has shortened by about 50% id say and im stuck using either passthrough or the new forced environment.
Yes, the resolution is very disappointing compared to the old environments. My battery life is ok, but the low res environments give me a headache if I look too long. I can't understand why it's so bad.

I used to use the Bubble Void environment and could quite consistently get 3 hours of watching movies on 1 charge but now I can barely get 2 if even that. The headset also gets a lot hotter than with the old environment.

If battery and temperature are misbehaving, fully power off and on the headset. I always seem to have to do this after any software update, after the usual quick 'restart'. Powering off always fixes the problem.

Yea, after restarting the headset a few times and using V81 more (I only got it a few days ago) the battery life and heat aren't as bad as when I first updated it, but it's still noticeably worse than the old bubble void environment. I'd say atleast 30% less than what im used to getting.

After the last software update (v81.1034 build 5131230.23080.520) it looks to me like the environment resolution has decreased slightly (maybe by ~15%) and the antialiasing has gotten a bit worse (by about 15%). It could be my imagination, but the UI did seem to be a lot clearer before this update. Perhaps Meta is downgrading the visuals to increase battery performance.

OMG. I've just realised that after the last update, I can now anchor my apps. Hurrah! But I am still currently limited to 3 open apps at once, not 12, like we are supposed to get with v81. Also, anchoring apps seems to eat up a lot of the RAM needed for playing games.
