Quest 3 strangely shows all my apps have updates but updating fails with "something went wrong"!

SOLVED: I went into the Cloud Backup settings in the headset and selected all apps and forced a manual backup, and hey presto, my library no longer hallucinates that all my apps have an "update available".

So I just took a peek in my Quest 3 library today to see if there were any app updates. To my horror, practically ALL my apps (including Meta's apps) have appeared under the "Update available" icon. That is really strange, as I know some of these apps have not had any new updates released yet! I clicked on the download icon for one of the apps, and a message appeared: "something went wrong Unknown (8)". My headset seems to be working fine despite this issue, and my apps and games are currently working. I tried a hard power-off and power-on, but the problem persists.

Almost all of my apps (25 of them) suddenly have "available updates" even though they were all up to date a couple of days ago?Updating the apps fails (because I think the Quest 3 is hallucinating that there are updates available)

Could this be a temporary glitch in Meta's update server, the Quest Store, or something???

So, I tried updating my Quest 3 from V78.1030 (v78.1027?) to v78,1031. It says the headset is up to date but the version number is still showing as v78.1027 (a known problem that's been affecting many users for several weeks now). Unfortunately, my library is still hallucinating that almost all of my apps have an update available.

I do not want to re-install the system software or do a factory reset yet, as I suspect the problem is on Meta's end.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? What is error code Unknown (8)?

Update: today I turned on my Quest 3 and went into the library app. An update for "Store" immediately installed itself, followed by an update for "Browser". I powered off the Quest 3 to apply the updates and restarted it, but it is still the same - the library still shows all my apps have "updates available" including STORE and BROWSER even though they had just been updated!

Oh my....weird things happen in this version.
Good to know what I must do, in case my library starts hallucinating too😂
