Question About In Game Ads

I just purchased a Meta Quest 3 and the link cable. While playing Skyrim VR an ad appeared at the bottom of the display for some other game that was 20% off. I was shocked!

Is this the norm for Meta/Q3? Can it be disabled?

I did not spend $600 plus to see ads in the middle of my game. If this is how Meta operates then the Q3 and cable are going back to Amazon.

    Hi pentad​ 🙂

    the Quest has the "do not disturb" button in Quick settings, which prevents you from getting notifications while playing, but.....

    .... if you play a game on steam like you did, you should go to your steam settings. This is not a Meta thing😉
