Shooter Game 'Aim XR'

I have downloaded a game on my new Quest 3 called 'Aim XR' but when I play it I am unable to pick up guns and object as I cannot see my hands.  I CAN see my hands if I put the controllers behind my head, then my arms are visible but my hands and bent right back against my forearms.

What am I doing wrong, and how do I fix it as other people in the game are relying on my to offer them cover if they are shot at my the enemy.

Please help a newbie.

    Hey there Candy.Muncher!

    Thanks for joining us here at the Meta Quest Community Forums!

    Does that issue only occur with Aim XR? I haven't personally played Aim XR but what I gather is that you may need to recalibrate your controllers.

    You can try to:

    1. Unpair and pair your controllers to your headset
    2. Recalibrate your controllers
    3. Reset your headset

    If those don't resolve your issue, you could try to contact the Aim XR developer's themselves if the issue only occurs in that game. Here is a link to Aim XR developers -> Aim XR developer

    Hi, Candy in the settings in the game just select reset and it will correct the issue with hands being out of whack, also you are welcome to get help on the aimxr discord follow the link on the aimxr.com website and hope to see you soon in game 🙂

      No difference at all.

      Would it work if I deleted `Aim XR and reinstalled it?

      Hi, just wanted to thank you for your help.  I contacted the developers on Discord this afternoon and someone in the Aim XR server said it was a known issue.  The quick fix was to go into 'settings' and then click on the red 'reset settings' box and after a few seconds the main menu came back.

      I went into a battle and was amazed and relieved that I now have hands and arms, and no longer feel like I am suffering from arthritis haha.

      Thank you again, I have also been having fun with Batman: Arkham Shadows and Vader Immortal 1 as well as Gunworld VR.

      Nope, deleting and reinstalling the game makes no difference.  😞

      Are there any other 'shoot-em-up' games I could try?

        Ah that's not ideal, thanks for trying!

        You could try Rec Room which has some 'shoot-em-up' game modes on it or try Hyper Dash so we can see if it's an issue with Aim XR or a controller issue.

        Keep us updated if any of those games work! 🐢

    Absolutely understand your frustration—it’s really annoying when technical issues get in the way of enjoying a good game. You might also want to check out the WordleRO Game Today which runs smoothly and offers a fresh challenge daily. Hopefully, it gives you a more consistent experience while keeping the fun alive!
