I have some credit on my account and have been waiting for either a sale on Stormland or a discount store voucher that I get sent from time to time ..... however I did a search today and stormlands is not there. googling directly for it finds the store page but it says it is unavailable
is this a temporary issue or has stormland gone the way of mountain goat mountain and other games removed from sale?

I just bought Stormland for my Quest 3s and it's June 30th 2025..
But the game is not compatible with the quest..
Only the rift.
I decided to keep the game anyway just in case
The game is fully compatible with all Quest and Rift hmds, but of course needs a gaming pc to run. Stormland is true VR, not some low-end game you can run on extremely weak phone gpus like the Adreno 650 (Quest 2) and 740 (Quest 3) phone gpus.

Not sure - Meta has done this before. Using the Rift CV1 I tested Stormland a few days ago, the game works perfectly in singleplayer - but maybe does no longer work with co-op?
If multiplayer no longer works, Meta could just announce the game as singleplayer only. The game is still far better than 99% of other PCVR games.
Coming from Alien: Rogue Incursion, Stormland felt *much* more advanced and high-end.
It's close to a crime limiting sales of Stormland, especially when the game still works. 2c.
It's a mystery to me why Meta has so many issues keeping their PCVR games working - I have tons of old and abandoned Steam games, all still work - but of course multiplayer aspects can suffer.

The game was pulled from the store by Meta because it failed the yearly data usage recertification. The developers are aware of the issue, but haven't fixed the game yet.
Hey timpig! When it comes to apps having the 'buy' option removed, I'm afraid you are correct, this usually happens when a developer requests the removal of said app from our store.
I'd recommend reaching out to the developers in case there seems to be a misunderstanding. You could also reach out to MetaStoreHelp for a further look!

The problem you are seeing is what I see for nearly every app. It's really frustrating! if if your not logged it should show up on the browser. The ones I have purchased are all also greyed out like that. It goes back to the store being completely broken unfortunately still.

I posted this in games and apps but perhaps it is a support question. Has Stormland been pulled from sale permenantly or is it temporary? it is not coming up In a store search and using a direct link states unavailable.
I hope this is not something to do with Sony buying up the devs and a licence running out. if so a heads up before pulling would have been useful

Hey! I did some digging online and found that Meta removed the game from the store so that the developers could update their Data Use Checkup Annual Recertification. If they still haven't, that is likely why it is no longer available for purchase in the store.
If you're looking to purchase the game, I would definitely recommend reaching out to the developer's support directly, or checking out the Insomniac community. They might be able to help you out!
In other words, everyone is aware, but for a couple of months, nobody has cared enough to find a solution. Sad
