The Oculus Tray Tool Does Not Seem to Exist Anymore

I have noticed that the Oculus Tray Tool website is no longer in operation (google oculus tray tool download). https://apollyonvr.com

This is a real pity imho since I used this free app for +6yrs, starting with my Rift cv1. My current version 0.87.8.0 still seems to work fine. I use it to help finetune games/sims SS and ASW setting, plus turn on/off oculus runtime because I also still use a native SteamVR Vive Pro1.

I think there may be an older version available here, but I don't know if it works or not, and it seems to be an older version;

It's a real pity that Meta hasn't incorporated OTT into their ODT, or at least included game profiles by now imho.

If anyone knows if the current version of OTT is available elsewhere, please let us know.  Thanks.

TomCgcmfc  sadly, it looks like 0.87.8.0 is the latest and last version of the Oculus Tray Tool. The site is available on the Wayback Machine, but the OTT download has not been archived. ☹️  Fortunately, I've got a copy of 0.87.8.0 and also managed to get a copy of the WMR tool as well.

It's a little worrying as I'm reliant on this tool for smooth MS Flight Sim running. Maybe there are other ways to do it, but forcing ASW in OTT transforms the sim for me.

Ya, I'm also a little worried about this because I use OTT for just about everything.  I mainly use its Game Profiles to set SS and select asw modes for individual apps.

The bad news without OTT is you'll need to edit your ODT file to do these prior to starting up an app.

The good news is that if you only want to change asw modes, you can do this 'on the fly' by using the Ctrl+num 1-4 keys to do this.

Ctrl+num1 (numeric keyboard 1, not top row 1) = asw disabled

      Ctrl+num2 = forced 45fps, asw disabled (actually 1/2 your refresh rate.  I use 80Hz so = 40fps)

      Ctrl+num3 = forced 45fps, asw enabled

Ctrl+num4 = asw auto enabled (default)

These are very handy to use in any PCVR app you're running through Link or Air Link since you can try these out on the fly to see which works best for you.  For me, with msfs2020 I prefer Forced 45fps, asw disabled.

Also not that these keyboard shortcut commands will not work if you're using Virtual Desktop for your PCVR because VD does not have the official Oculus runtimes, just their version if it.

It's a pity that Meta could not as least add game profiles to ODT and/or incorporate OTT within the meta-link pc app.  I have suggested this a number of times to them and they say this might happen in the future.  Hopefully that's going to happen sooner rather than later.

Cheers for that and noted. Maybe the forced ASW is something that lifts medium tier GPU performance in FS but holds back the top cards, it's the only program I need to use it with.

I might have a go at creating an autoit executable to edit the ODT file, I can have an FS shortcut that then edits the file, launches the game and edits it back when the game stops running, it's good for that stuff and relatively easy to do, cuts out the step of launching OTT each time too.

But yes, Meta could absolutely add some nice power user settings like per game profiles.
