there is not enough memory to run arizona sunshine 2

Hello,

my *brand new* quest 3 arrived yesterday. I installed Arizona Sunshine 2 on it and started playing.

The game often crashes with the error message "there is not enough memory to run arizona sunshine 2".

This happens at every 2 or 3 checkpoints. And right now it happened in the middle of a zombie fight.

  • Mine does this too, except when my available memory hits around 700, my quest menu becomes unresponsive, my game freezes up too. I had this issue when trying to screen share to discord while using QGO, but I've since then restarted my headset, and this issue with arizona sunshine is constant. Has anyone got a fix? Or is it jus broken on standalone, I didn't have this issue with AS remake. It's only happening on 2

  • Crashes for me too often. At least every 30 mins, sometimes less.  3 times in the last hour with one the whole OS froze and had to force a restart. Its incredibly frusyrating, especially with the load times just to get back in the game.  Sometimes weapons just vanish, or some other glitch.  Buddy once vanished until I restarted from a check point, I thought little Freddy got stuck down a well or something!. As much as the game is buggy I've also noticed I lose tracking randomly on the Quest3 as well since the last update or it recalibrates as if i shoukd be 10 metres tall and cant reset it without a full restart.  So I wonder if the OS is using more RAM lately and its causing it to crash more often. Both could do with efficiency improvements in my opinion, I dont need to see a horizon and starfield each time I load a game.

Mine does the same thing and only on my Oculas 3 with Arizonia Sunshine 2 and Arizona Sunshine Remake.  I have it on my Oculas 2 and it does not do that.  I have plenty of storage on my 3.  I could just play my Oculas 2 but I like the lightness and the handles of my Oculas 3.   Please fix.  It is irritating....

  • A year and a half later, same issue. I never would have upgraded to a quest from the Rift S had I known it would be this bad. Same deal as all your answers, so it's definitely a Meta Quest 3 issue. I also have an issue where I can't link to PC VR because the Quest 3 craashes when trying to approve the connection, I can't even do PCVR and that's a WILDY BETTER platform.

The $1000 Valve headset looks more and more worth the money for the next upgrade. Never had a single issue with PCVR in the past and now it's every software update I lose another function of the Quest 3.

  • I've also taken a break for over a year now. After doing all the updates, I wanted to play Arizona Sunshine 2. A year later, the bugs still aren't fixed. I haven't even finished the game yet. As others have already said, constantly restarting the Meta Quest 3 and loading the game is extremely frustrating. How much longer do I have to wait until I can finally start a proper gaming session that lasts longer than 20 minutes? You pay endless money and then get this crap 😞

  • So i managed to finish the campaign by looking down when the loading screen starts and waiting until the map is completely loaded in before  looking up. The game does crash occationally but atleast i managed to finish the game this way..

  • I am also having this same issue. Well my son is. We have tried everything and game continues to say the same thing even with 396gb of free space.

Thanks for reaching out, we would suggest reaching out to the developer as this appears to be an issue on their end.
