So did you come here just to vent and outsource responsibility, or to troubleshoot, as I don't want to waste my time.

I would love to fix it but I also was venting a little, Not trying to waste anyones time but if meta developers would simply test the updates before releasing them we wouldn't have to troubleshoot. My biggest problem is with deovr it was working fine and then stopped i first tried clearing the cach then complete uninstall and reinstall then checked with other software that was also working and found the error was system wide. checked all of the permission they were set correctly checked to make sure the codecs were installed 264.hev etc looks like they are. So I'm am at a loss for what to do next

DeoVR is available as a PCVR version both on Steam and Meta PCVR store. Could you try the PCVR version with Link/Airlink or even SteamLink and see if it works. That would help determine if the problem might be on your network (eg. firewall problem etc) or if it is confined to your headset. The standalone DeoVR is working perfectly fine in my headset btw (I'm assuming you are talking about the native standalone version).

Just to add, the DeoVR app has been having occasional issues in the past couple of months with loading and getting black screens with sound. I had it but it's working fine now. You're venting to the wrong people maybe. You should contact the developer of the app. I actually contacted them myself a few weeks ago about the app itself not loading.
