Viewing Quest Achievements

We're coming up on a year and we still don't have an official way to view and sort the Quest Achievements that we put forth effort unlocking in our massive VR libraries.

Developers continue to include them in games as they know it yields extended play sessions and even users revisiting their games to experience every ounce of the hard work they put into their projects.

Currently we can only view them in a recently unlocked list in the Meta Horizon Mobile App, and external websites created by Quest users (which are the most useful way at the moment).

People didn't even realize Achievements existed because it was hidden in the Scoreboards App, and users hoped for integration into the Profile itself, similar to Steam, Xbox, and PS. Instead, we were left with a misunderstanding of how important Achievements are to the Quest ecosystem.

At the very least, could we please get a way to filter by game/in-progress/completed in the Horizon Mobile App? We would love to see them in-headset eventually, but even a small step forward would revitalize our play sessions.

🙏

  • Any news ? 🙄 this is absolutely embarrassing for such a huge corporate like META is ! 😑 The minimum you can do for us is that you answer our "prayers" of a simple achievement app ! 🤦‍♂️

Bro, they've just laid off a bunch of developers and closed off a bunch of first-party studios, including Armature. It's Joever.

juju46667 People always hit the panic button when something like this happens.. It's normal in the tech industry when it starts getting overstaffed, inefficient, bloated and losing money. It's just a reset. No point in getting your knickers in a twist. 😁 There will still be hundreds of games.. In fact more than 30 new games have already been announced to arrive soon and it's still January.

There is some positive buzz, but currently HBR is the one dude keeping our dreams alive! Check out the Achievement Hunting Discord for more info 🤘 Will send info

  • m truly speechless... how can you handle something so badly? Does it take so much? Ridiculous.

  • Agree 1000%.

A while ago I shifted most of my VR use from the PSVR2 to the Quest 3. Although all things being equal the superior graphics and performance of the PSVR2 would have been preferable, the cable tether and the general discomfort of the Sony headset sent me off to the Quest. However, since Meta discontinued active support for achievements, I’ve found myself going back to the PSVR2 despite the mild physical discomfort long sessions cause me. Silly, perhaps, but I’ve found I do need the extra motivation of trying to unlock a trophy/achievement, particularly when it comes to workout-type games.

I guess what I’m saying is: Yes, Meta, achievements ARE that important.

  • Developer documentation on achievements has been removed as well. It's joever.

Not yet! We have a Discord and external site to track, and working with Meta on a solution. Still holding out hope!

  • Not even sure why they have not implemented this yet, putting me off playing games as i cannot track or see cheevos, at the point of abandoning the platform if they cannot implement such a small feature that many many people are wanting, will not be buying any more games from meta if they cannot simply sort this out or just reinstate the scoreboard app.

  • I can only dream that it's taking this long because they want to do it good...

Oh, it were once great..... we could even put the achievements as an physical item  in our PCVR homes.🙂

      It couldn't be better!

    • I'd love to believe the same! Perhaps they are cooking up the permanent profile integration 🤗
