Why do you make airlink?

You are a billion dollar company who regularly gets their lunch eaten by a $20 app (if you're reading this just buy 'virtual remote desktop' and stop using meta). Today you patched airlink so that while it is running you CANNOT leave oculus home. cant double tap the headset for passthrough to the UI, just a message that says "you can resume" but I cant resume because oculus home has crashed for one of the 100's of reasons, but thanks this UI oversight I am trapped in the HMD. Nice job folks. Zero features, zero new QOL tools, zero HMD side debug tools. Nothing of value added, and again a worse experience. So to the 'moderators' whose best advice is submit feedback through the app, i cant it crashes because Meta sucks at their job.

  • I updated Link today (v81.0.0.828.254) and AirLink is working perfectly on my Quest 3 (v79.1034). I can double-tap to get passthrough, it is working fine.

I'm not sure what you are talking about here, it is not even possible to switch to the Quest virtual environment while AirLink is running. Entering passthrough from the Link PCVR environment gives me access to the Quest menus, while exiting passthrough returns me to the Link PCVR menu environment.

Passthrough is a headset firmware feature that has absolutely nothing to do with the Meta Quest Link app. Have you tried doing a hard power-off/power-on on your headset? That will usually fix those rare issues where passthrough stops working. Also, make sure that the setting to enable double-tapping is still enabled in your headset settings.

The only minor bug I have noticed, is that if I enter passthrough from AirLink by double-tapping the headset, then return to AirLink by clicking the passthrough icon on the Quest UI menu bar, a message will pop up saying my controllers aren't detected. But as soon as I press a button on the controller, the message goes away. This bug doesn't happen if I double tap to return to AirLink 🤷‍♂️.
