Meta Horizon Creator Program Community Code of Conduct
Community Code of Conduct
The Meta Horizon Creator Program (MHCP) is a dedicated initiative designed to empower Meta Horizon creators by providing special access to monetization tools, early access to product features and functionality, exclusive events led by Meta’s internal teams, and opportunities to learn from Meta experts, mentors and fellow members.
In addition to the Meta Horizon Creator Program Terms, the Meta Horizon Creator Program Community Code of Conduct represents our expectations for members in the program on any community platform, including the MHCP Partner Discord server and the community forum. If you have any questions about this Code of Conduct, please reach out to our team via the Developer Support Portal.
Code of Conduct
- Promote a positive and productive community culture
Actively work towards creating a positive and productive community culture within the Meta Horizon Creator Program. Interacting with your user community, partner peers, mentors, moderators and Meta team members while maintaining a respectful tone is essential for preventing toxicity. Be open to different ideas and perspectives, and work together in a respectful and cooperative manner. Spirited conversations, disagreements and debates are welcome here, but do not attack, harass, accuse or disrespect other members. - Respect diversity and inclusivity
Respect diversity and inclusivity by communicating professionally and fostering an environment that is welcoming to all members regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion or disability. - Keep it relevant
The purpose of this group is to bring Meta Horizon Creator Program members together to build community, share resources and access exclusive program benefits. Discussions unrelated to Meta Horizon or the program will be removed. - Prioritize safety and privacy
Prioritize the safety and privacy of users, creators, program members and Meta team members. Do not share personal information of users without explicit consent. Any content that threatens or endangers the well-being of others is strictly prohibited. - DO NOT direct message Meta employees or mentors
To ensure fair access to support and to maintain professional boundaries, do not send direct messages (DMs) to Meta employees, MHCP mentors or program administrators unless explicitly instructed to do so. All questions, concerns or discussions should be directed through official channels such as public channels, forums or community spaces. Unauthorized direct messaging may result in a warning or further action if it disrupts program operations.

FAQ about the Meta Horizon Creator Program Community Code of Conduct
Q: When incidents occur within an MHCP community, including the Discord server or forum, how does the MHCP team take action?
A: The MHCP team reviews them on a case-by-case basis and takes appropriate action with clear communication to the creator(s) concerned. When reporting, please provide supporting details and evidence to help us review your case promptly.
Q: What if an incident occurs while in virtual or mixed reality?
A: Please use the appropriate tools in headset to report any violations. Reports for violating the CCVE automatically include the last few minutes of your Meta Horizon Worlds audio and other interactions to help the team investigate and determine what course of action to take. You can learn how to report in headset here.
Q: Can creators appeal a strike? What does the appeal process look like?
A: Yes, creators can appeal a strike if they believe it was given unfairly. The appeal process involves reaching out to the MHCP team via the program support email address and providing additional information to support their case. The appeal will be reviewed by the MHCP team who will make a decision based on the provided evidence.
Q: How will these policies affect our ability to share our opinions and provide feedback? Could we get a strike for speaking our mind?
A: Our goal with the Meta Horizon Creator Program Community Code of Conduct is to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all members of the community. It will not restrict your freedom to provide constructive product feedback or express your opinions. However, it will help ensure that all interactions are respectful and do not violate our community guidelines.
Q: What support and resources will be available to creators who have received a strike or are struggling to understand how to comply with the new Code of Conduct?
A: Creators who have received a strike or are struggling to understand how to comply with the new Code of Conduct can do the following:
- In Discord, if you have access to the MHCP Discord, you can request access to a temporary channel to receive guidance from the MHCP team.
