Didn't even know the controller was capable of making audio ?! Anyhow seems like something got into the electronics, cleaning fluids or battery acid.

100% the battery acid cleaning fluids won't short it that harshly I'm super duper certain
connectors got fried, copper ded, etc, rip controller, dont use bad alkaline
yeah, i bought rechargable Ni-MH batteries, that sould be pretty safe
your battery leak destroyed your controller....period
Buy a replacement.
propably, but not 100% I am just reading on forum about proble mwith controlers, and mine behave pretty same, maybe i get 2 problems at once :D but still, i will propably buy need new controler
