Quest 2 stationary jitter after v23

Hello guys!

I've noticed that even with the headset stationary, I can see a constant movement on all axis when near a menu, for example. Here's a video showing my HMD on top of a chair, completely still:

The headset was on a chair (this photo shows one camera occluded, but this happens even with normal usage):

I was wondering if any of you have noticed this issue after the latest v23 update. Since it brought many tracking issues, I think it might be related to this: https://forums.oculusvr.com/community/discussion/95292/tracking-issues-with-quest-2-since-v23/p1

This is really sad since it takes a lot of the immersion out because the world is moving, and you are not.

Room lights are decent and there are no Christmas led nor IR lights interfering with it.

Thanks!

  • Yesterday. I met a friend with his Quest 1 in Altspace. He got the same problem. You can notice the jitter in apps directly. Hopefully this is fixed very quickly cause that can cause motion sickness!
  • So just today I noticed I had this problem too. I think it kind of just happened suddenly, I was getting on VRChat and opened my menu and noticed that it was slightly moving. I restarted my game and my Quest and nothing seemed to fix it. I also tried different applications such as RecRoom and noticed the same problem. I was wondering if you all are having this problem still and is there any fixes?

Just make sure you guys report it to Oculus via the submit ticket link. I'm sure they have a system where issues get prioritized.

Edit/add: this is copy pasted from tomcfg in the tilt screen thread, I'm wondering if you guys would have success trying it.

"I had a similar problem with my Q2 after an Oculus update.  The solution for me was to go into settings and delete all guardian history, remove my controller batteries and replaced with fresh batteries, restart, re-did guardian setup, and then all was well.  Never needed to do a factory reset."
