Why does Steam VR keep shutting off and then not reloading?

Why does this keep happening so frequently?

My desktop is off. My Oculus Quest 2 is off. A usb to usb-c cable are connecting my desktop to my Oculus Quest 2.

I turn my PC on and sign in. I turn my Oculus Quest 2 on, set the room and boundary guardian, and I’m met with the Home Screen. Nothing pops up about the Oculus Link so I click on the settings gear, go to the device tab, and click on Enable Oculus Link.

It switches to the Oculus Link screen, the one with the white tiles making up a room. I click on Library, then click on Steam VR.

It successfully loads up Steam VR. I am now in the Steam VR room.

But then randomly it will boot me out of Steam VR and out of the Oculus Link mode. It will say Disconnected from PC. At this point, I am now back at the main Home Screen.

I take out the USB-C side of the cable from the Oculus Quest 2. I power off the Oculus Quest 2. I power it back on. I’m now back at the main Home Screen. I click on the gear icon and click on Enable Oculus Link.

I am back at the Oculus Link white-tile screen. I go to Library and click on Steam VR. But it never loads. Instead a black screen loads. Or sometimes instead of that it says that more than one application is running and it gives me the option to either quit that application or cancel out of the pop up. I click Quit Application but nothing ever happens. All I can do is click Cancel.

At this point, with Steam VR not ever loading, I can take off my headset and look at my actual desktop screen. Sometimes I see a pop up box that says Steam VR isn’t responding and it gives me the option to either reset Steam VR or  quit Steam VR. I click reset Steam VR, then put the headset back on, but I still can’t load Steam VR.

All I can do at this point is reset my desktop PC, power off my Oculus Quest 2 headset, and start from step one. But then eventually this whole thing happens again, and again the only thing I can do is reset my PC, power off the headset, and start from the beginning.

Why does this loop keep happening? Is it because I’m playing in a room with the lights turned off? Or is the usb to usb-c cable? Is it my PC? Or my headset? What is the culprit? And how do I fix this problem?
