A discussion on future jobs.
Now we all like the oculus rift but thats more so the best competitor. If there was something called not rift and was 100 times better, we'd love it more. I've seen a lot of people (myself included) that wants to get in on this market/experience. So, what is there to get into? This is a VERY large field, saying I want to be in VR, by the time you can, will be like saying I want to be in movie making. I want to personally be a game designer and i have no illusions going into it but here are the questions:
What would you like to take part in for VR, if at all?
How can you go about doing so, ie, what skills are needed?
And how did you figure this out?
To me that last question is important because i want to go into this field, check, willing to take time and energy to get skills, check but I have no idea what I really want to do. I want something of course that pays well and I enjoy but with so many options, I'm unsure. Direction is hard to find and I thought this discussion could be fun.
