Any words on when a dome like this is ready for the average consumer ? ..From a 2011 Gadget Show episode... ok ok, not quite as pro as the The Gwangju National Science Museum... but it could reasonably be described as a home* version!

*big home (and wallet) required
- falken76Expert ConsultantWe have a similar theater to this at our University here. But the one on this post is awesome because it goes around a full 360, ours doesn't project anything on the floor.

That is just stupidly insane ... I want one !!!!!
Put me in the dome above with all the phepherials used in that video. That would be exactly this world ... ohmm ..
I would pay several hundred dollars per hour for this experience.
Avoiding getting shot is the ultimate adrenaline rush. Really makes one care about every move you take.
Being able to simulate that ... Damn ... TAKE MY MONEY RIGHT NOW !!
Sidenote: I cant believe that Ive never seen that video

It looks like since that Gadget Show aired, Omnifinity have been marketing a version of that treadmill for VR, the Omnideck 6, and I did say big wallet required... in the region of 55k Euros....and if you want the much improved and current version of that projector dome, the 9m Igloo Vision 360, with the 5 projectors, well I can't find a price on-line, but a competitors dome is selling for upwards of 35k Euros so I'm guessing the Igloo is a similar price.
- 35k for the dome maybe, and about £400,000 for the Christie Mirage projectors :D
