Am I doing something wrong? (Mac user)

I received Oculus yesterday and downloaded all necessary software for Mac OSX (Mavericks). I am able to efficiently run the demo on runtime, but am having issues running any other application. Ive checked and re-checked all cables and components and all checks out. Due to the "computer desk" demo on runtime working, I can only surmise that it is the applications that are not up to snuff for the downloaded software as well as the computer. All software is the latest available. I have restarted my computer and rebooted numerous times as well. I apologize if this has been talked about before but couldn't find anyone else on here with the same scenario. Many thanks!

Here's the computer I am using:

Mid-2012 Macbook Pro, I5 processor, 8 gb RAM (non-retina screen)

  • Did you manage to resolve the issue? If yes, tell me how, please!

I have the same issue now with a Mid-2012 Macbook Pro, i7 processor, 8GB RAM and OR DK2.

Demo works fine in runtime. Any downloaded game/demo for MAC and DK2 only shows/works on laptop while DK2 at the same time only shows desktop background image...

    Already, reinstalled, reconnected, rebooted etc.

    Cheers,

  • Fixed:

    -redownload desired programs, demos, games
-extracted with free program from apple store "the unarchiver"
-right clicked on file and selected open to avoid security preference issues for installation and selected open again when asked if I want to install from an unknown developer
-went to displays via system preferences and enabled "mirror display" under the tab "arrangement"
-set settings to "best for rift dk2"
-started program, demo, game and selected depending on game 1920x1080 resolution and enjoyed the experience
