Anyone else got the bigscreen app

yeah it's pretty cool although I think I prefer altspace for socialising :)

is altspace on steam.. Can you join rooms like bigscreen?

It's pretty amazing, but I prefer virtual desktop.

It doesn't have screen sharing but you can go hang out with lots of people, it supports Gear VR so you tend to find a lot more people there.

I have a lot of fun with my Leap Motion there, they have a tavern etc. If you find a group of people you can all go play card against humanity, always a laugh :)

Personally, I prefer "Big Screen" over "Virtual Desktop". Big Screen has more possibilities to adjust settings (i.e. screen curvature, brightness) and more environments which I like.The only thing that's missing, is the HUD performance overlay, like on the VD, which allows me to check the frame rate on apps with or without ASW.

Yeh it is good rescaz but limited to 4 people per room. But you can all watch a movie together.

Yeah, it is cool technology.  It would be great if I had a few friends with a Rift... just to be able to sit together in a room and watch movies or show each other games etc.  Cool stuff.

I downloaded an early version of this when I first got my Rift, I didn't quite realize what it was but I hopped into a random room.  The first time I noticed there was a 3d Model of a Rift floating next to me. I looked at it and it slowly turned to look at me... I actually jumped a bit when I realized that was another human being looking at me.

A person with a Vive.. yanked my snake.. I couldnt believe it.. lol

I didn't know about it - thanks for the heads up. I have Cmoar VR Cinema which is cool, but you have to rip the DVDs first at the moment. With this Big Screen I can just play them with VLC Media Player :)

Does this play 3D Blue Rays too anyone ?
