Anyone know of a City Building game in VR?

Just thinking about it - how amazing would something like Sim City be in VR? I would shell out all of my money for that! Does anyone know of anything like it, or anything in the works?

Also - how would it work in VR?

Imagine the zoomed out God like view of tiny skyscrapers - but also the ability to shrink down to street level and see everything from that perspective - seriously, someone needs to make this!!

    This has to happen...
With touch controllers too, and with room scale support, i want to walk a bit.
Imagine reaching out into a virtual bag, pulling out a power plant
and thundering it down onto the landscape
taking wire and running it with your virtual finger, flattening the land with your thumb so tiny
    people can pave down roads.

    im getting excited.
  • City Building, RTS and Turn based (CIV) style games would all work incredibly well with Touch.

The issue is that existing games don't support it and Devs seem little interested in revisiting existing titles to add support (where possible) and any new game in this genre will probably be in development for some time still.

Yea I have been waiting for one as well. I did get feedback from some developer a while ago, and he sorta ruined my dream; he said it needs to be totally redesigned than how we think a city builder game should work because there is a lot more work to do in VR manually, having to interact with everything rather than just a few mouse clicks - it might not actually be fun.

But the whole idea does sound amazing!
