And why Vive's head mount is so big n' bulky. Zing!- KlodsBrikExpert Trustee^^ That
- LZoltowskiChampionSpeaking of Vive, has anyone figured out what it actually means? Oculus Rift ... that makes sense .. A rift in the eye .. a new dimension, yada yada ... but Vive? Every time I say it it sounds like a French perfume ... Vivè, Parfume par Homme

I don't just think that this Ring thing is a cool video. I truly think that the potential here is rather fantastic. The first time that AR peaked my interest is with the whole Jedi Training kit. But the reviews revealed a non-immersive experience that had some deal-breaking bugs (e.g. bad tracking, the light saber bends).
But something like this reveals more than just entertainment. We could holo-project ourselves in to each others homes. Hell, we could project ourselves on to space station, or another planet! - LZoltowskiChampion

There is a lot of potential there, I wish Oculus had a passthrough stereoscopic camera, so it could simulate AR without having to hold your phone up.
