Are VR games preparing today's youth for the pending zombie apocalypse?

While watching my son play Arizona Sunshine, it became apparent he was convinced he was stranded in the Arizona desert shooting zombies, and a thought donned on me: When the Apocalypse does come, will the kids that played games like these in vr be the only ones prepared while the rest of us panic and get eaten?  I guess only time will tell.

  • Ok Place your bets!
Who thinks a Zombie film will be out this year with at least 1 zombie wearing a HMD?  hehe.

  • I think cell phones did that a few years back... entire rooms filled with people staring into a tiny box to "socialize" when there are actual people all around them.  Course I guess now vr has you strap the phone to your face, lol.

Exactly! It wasn't enough to have our eyes glued to a device at a 2 foot distance. Now we have shut out the entire world as the screen is mere centimeters from our skulls.

Even the best VR photo's have people looking like a zombie:

Gross, getting rotting fluids on all over the facial interface and you can't buy replacements.

That's how I feel when I let my friends play knockout, the faceplate is soaked and slimy.  I need to buy some covers, or extra faceplates or something.  Especially when my Virtuix Omni arrives, I know we are all gonna be sweating like crazy.
