Blackout screens
Screen is blacked out you barely can see the background and words but it’s on completely what could be the problem for that situation just purchased it

Check all the settings related to display brightness:
Settings>Display & brightness>Display brightness
Settings>Display & brightness>Adaptive lighting
Settings>Experimental>Temporal Dimming
Settings>Experimental>Content adaptive brightness
Accessibility>Vision>Contrast
also, make sure you are not obstructing the proximity sensor between the nosepiece with the faceplate or eye glasses or your hair or poor fit on your face, etc.
