Burn from soldering iron right where I wear the CV1..

Trust me to stick a soldering iron on my face when soldering a wire. Think this could be a 2nd or 3rd degree burn and it's on my cheek right where I wear the CV1. How long does a burn usually take to heal LOL. Tried wearing my CV1, but it's uncomfortable as hell with this on my cheek and might get infected if there's bacteria on the face cover of the Rift. FFS, just hope it heals quickly..

Edit: Well there is some good news. I've just seen that I have become "poster of the week." I'll be doing more of the same this week given my face is charred and I can't wear the Oculus Rift..

    Edit: Well there is some good news. I've just seen that I have become "poster of the week." I'll be doing more of the same this week given my face is charred and I can't wear the Oculus Rift..

    Do you guys have spray on skin where you live? Like a liquid plaster/band-aid. Make sure to close your eyes and maybe make a stencil out of A4 paper for the burn itself, the thing creates a strong thin breathable film and is antiseptic.

    I'm in England, but can't say I've heard of spray on skin. Where would I get this stuff from? Cheers!

    Edit: Just stuck loads of Aloe Vera on it for now..

    It says don't use on face, but that is for stupid people who might spray it on with their eyes and mouths open.

    Make a stencil, bigger than your wound using some A4 paper, give it one coat, wait a few mins, then give it a second coat, and voila.

    Should of left it in it's stand. Holding it with my left hand while taken a look at my solder is a bad combination. Glad it's not my eye, but it's as big as my eye. I need some new skin and hopefully it won't scar..

    You guys seriously need to use eye protection.  From what you've said I think maybe you should wear it when eating, you're likely to end up with a spoon in your eye.
