@Shadowmask72 - Yes and I'll be honest about it. I haven't actually seen what games are like in 4k, I've just listened to other people saying you can't tell the difference on a 42" Tv at 1080p. I have seen some 4k films though and can tell the difference, so I am starting to wonder now..
Problem then is, can I get by with a Geforce 1080 :/
I supersample most AAA titles on high settings on my 1080p monitor (running the game at 4K) .. on my GTX 1080, works great. - cyberealityGrand ChampionYeah, most 4K TVs will accept a range of resolutions (definitely 1080p and most likely also 1440p and possibly custom resolutions with GPU scaling). You can run in fullscreen mode, that is usually the default to scale the image. However, running lower resolutions can be bad for quality, and running 1080p on a 4K TV may actually look worse than the same image on a 1080p TV. I've run 1440p on my TV and that still looks decent enough. It's a soft image but looks noticeably better than 1080p and still performs fast. The TV is worth it if you just want size, and they are more affordable than monitors in that size range.
