CV1 component manufacturers

Is there currently a (disclosurable) set of manufacturers that will develop the components of the CV1 for investing purposes?

I know so far that a "good bet" would be to invest in:

Facebook (FB)
Sony (SNE)
Samsung (KRX: 005935)

Potential Investment opportunities:

HiMax (HIMX)
STMicroelectronics (STM)
Invensense (INVN)
Honeywell (HON)
RealTek (TPE: 2379)
Winbond (TPE: 2344)

Although now, due to the money from facebook, and with the knowledge that they are going with custom made hardware, will OVR continue to use the PIO companies? I really hate speculation when it comes down to my finances

If you hate speculation. Then get out of the investing game...
  • There is always going to be some speculation, however, the idea is the minimize the risk. While this "VR" portfolio would be for one type of technology, if one of the companies failed, then you wouldn't loose everything. All of your eggs in one basket so to speak.
  • Id also look into the next 6 months at Nvidia and Amd. If they catch a downward movement it might be a good pickup. IF and I mean IF VR takes off then people will be going all out for graphics cards.

I personally believe there are 2 reasons why PC VR will be strong even if there is PS3 or Xbox.
#1 Adult sites / Videos. I know most people realize this already. However I imagine this is such a MASSIVE market. Think of an ice berg what we think is the 10% we see of people who would get the VR for Adult Content. However I honestly believe that the reality is once there is a consumer product then the ones we dont see now will come in and buy.

#2 Believe any piece of technology that keeps people in their house or distracted from things will do well. Video games and Cell Phones both fit the bill. Crime rates have gone down for the 11th year in a row in Canada and I believe that the Government loves that people just stay in their houses.

Anyways I will be testing a RIFT this week so hopefully that will full convince me. I believe I know exactly what it will be like. But untill I see for myself I can't believe 100% that VR will take off.
