- falken76Expert ConsultantIt's a good game. The Hornet and the Persian Gulf aren't in the sale though because they just came out and apparently Steam has a timeframe from new release that must pass before they can be put on sale according to Eagle Dynamics.
- I'll be grabbing the Viggen personally. Been waiting for the sale for that beast.
- BeastyBaiterSuperstarIt isn't a steam thing. ED isn't going to put their latest stuff on sale. Usually they wait at least 6 months before offering any sort of discount. That's pretty normal though. I don't know of any company that releases a new game and then a month later offers it 50% off unless that game is doing horribly.Anyways, for those interested, I highly recommend the F-5, MiG-21, AV-8B, A-10C, Mirage 2000, AJS-37, Flaming Cliffs, Ka-50, UH-1 and Mi-8. I recommend passing on the others that are on sale. If you want WW2, get IL2: Battle of xxx. The Korean War stuff (MiG-15 and F-86), though wonderfully made, do not fit the rest of the game. A case can be made for the L-39 I suppose. It's a fun plane to fly but its combat abilities are marginal at best. The quality of the other 2 trainers is very low though, so I do not recommend buying them. The SA-342 Gazelle is also a bit questionable and so I don't recommend it either.
- Yup agree with you. Anyone want an excellent chopper then grab the Huey. And my recommendation for a jet is without doubt the AV-8B both have steep learning curves but fly them right they are extremely satisfying :)

I didn't believe them anyway, Steam is a venue like Ebay or Amazon for game devs, I don't believe they'll tell devs they can't put a product on sale that was recently released. They could have said "We're not putting our new releases on sale" and left it at that, but they blamed steam. - nroskoSuperstarPicked up the Viggen & AV-8B I thinking of getting the F5 & Mirage2000 & maybe even the Mig 21 after pay day.
- BeastyBaiterSuperstarYou want the MiG-21 Fishbed. There really is nothing like what is effectively a manned missile, pretty much everyone who tries it loves it. Short video of yesterday's escapades on 104th with it:https://youtu.be/vVdzkKXmNms
- JohnnyDioxinExpert TrusteeAlready got everything except the two Jarmin WWII crates and the SOH/Persian Gulf map - won't buy anything else until they improve the VR performance for 2.5
btw 1C/777 also have a sale on atm for IL-2 BoX - but yet again, it's all the stuff I already have, the stuff I want is SOP price (why don't we have a  smiley here?) - JohnnyDioxinExpert TrusteeSausage... :p
