Does anyone use Google drive or something similar?

Does anyone use Google drive or something similar? I'm just wonder if it's worth getting and if it stores your files safely? Are there any others that are better then Google drive or is it better just getting a large Hard Drive? I'm just thinking if the Hard Drive developed a fault and I would lose all my files..

  • I've been looking at SpiderOak. https://spideroak.com/one/
They seem to be one of the few providers with a Linux app. Probably try them out this weekend. Currently I've been using a thumb drive to transfer files from one computer to the other, but it's not ideal. This looks like a good solution.

@Brixmis - What do you pay a month and how much storage do you get? That one LZ has is $5 a month and it's unlimited..

    I only use 100GB at the moment - and it's £1.57 per month - so about $2.20

edit: I just had a look - in UK it's £80 ($113) per year for 1TB (if paid in advance) and £16 ($22.60) per month for 2TB

I use Google because I trust them not to screw it up. Oh and because I have my gmail, YouTube, websites and Wordpress sites all connected together and using feeds from Drive.

Just saw that I have some on Amazon since I'm a prime member. Now I'm wondering if Amazon cloud is any good.
