It is not actually even legal for a corporation to 'care' about anything but money. I am a CEO and there are actually laws in place that force you to make decisions based on monetary gains rather than ethics or empathy. Most (or many) CEO's and execs are legitimate psychopaths. Now think of Christian Bale from American Psycho and multiply him by 10 and you've got your Microsoft board of 'caring' directors. Capitalism 101.
