Google Earth...strange priorities.

I find it strange that I can stand outside and have a fantastic view of a used car salesroom in Oldham, UK, but when it comes to looking at some of the greatest monuments on Earth (i.e. Giza Plateau) you can only get a blurry, top-down, and not very good view of it.
I was hoping to get a sense of scale of the place.
Anyways...just a passing thought.
Regards

Unfortunately, not all countries allow street view. There are lots of good quality 360 photos in the "non VR" version to look at.

No used car salesmen to be found.

    Yeah thanks.
it was just an idea I had after playing Xing where I was stood next to some Easter Island heads and feeling impressed by how big they felt in VR...and being interested in ancient architecture I figured I would have a look.

EDIT-I wonder if they sell used camels. ;)

As an after thought...can anyone recommend any good, ancient sites to visit in Google Earth VR?

    I highly recommend this

They have used photogrammetry and lidar scans of ancient inaccessible sites and you can walk around them with an audio tour guide.

Totally agree,  I spent about an hour "wandering round" the Native American cliff dwellings of Colorado in this experience.  Fascinating.
