Halloween Movie recommendations!

I am so excited for Halloween πŸ‘» ! I know, I know is still September but... is one of my favorite Holidays! I love watching movies to set the Halloween mood. Sooo with that being said any recommendations would be appreciated!

I personally love horror movies and of course cute Halloween movies.

Scary movies:

Incantation (Netflix)

Don't Listen (Netflix)

The Old Ways (Netflix) (this is actually based from my Hometown)

Classic (not scary) Halloween Movies are:

Hocus Pocus!

Halloweentown! (Disney)

Adams Family (it does not need to be Halloween for this one)

        🀣 Brilliant.

My daughter used to have great fun just staring at us with most of her hair covering her face.

Those Final Destination were scary now everytime I look at anything I think something might happen. And wait is The Cube like the Circle movie?

Will need to find these I have not seen the Event Horizon either.

Circle? The one on Netflix? That one was goood a lot of philosophy in the midst of death. BUT no. I'm talking about this movie:

Its about a maze that people get stuck in and have to get out of.
I like to describe it like an older version of Escape Room.

  • Serious question here - is Nightmare Before Christmas a Halloween movie, or a Christmas movie? It might be one of my favorites just for the nostalgia factor lol.

I absolutely love horror novels, but I'm a bit of a scaredy-cat when it comes to horror movies. I always watch the show Over the Garden Wall when fall hits, because it's got the perfect spooky Halloween vibes but still tells an amazing story. Highly recommend!

Yes!! That is still a awesome Halloween Movie!!! Who does not like a little bit of Jack!

  • Event Horizon is awesome. Some stupid bits, but a great horror set in space.

The Feast series is kind of fun. Feast 1 was the winner of season 3 of Project Greenlight (amateur filmmaker reality tv contest). With the leftover money they made Feast 2 and 3.

Many of the cast of 2 and 3 are related to the director, it was a family having fun making an over the top, cheap, gross, horror comedy. (Kind of like the Crank movies, just the crew/cast having fun doing stupid stuff). Plus the first movie has Henry Rollins (I'm a fan).

Love the details on the movies super interesting! Thank you for sharing!

  • Today I watched No One Will Save You.

It was a cool scifi horror. There's minimal use of jump scares (which is good).

Seems Saw X is getting great reviews - it's 7.4 on IMDB, second only to the original at 7.6. Even though it's not Halloween yet, my 15 year old son and I plan to see it in a theater tonight:

Apart from that, Barbarian still is the best horror movie I've seen for years. My son calls it "a carpet movie" - because he had to look away from the screen and look down at the carpet many times, lol

I'm so excited to see Saw X! I hadn't watched any of the movies before but my partner LOVES the whole franchise, so of course we're watching through them together haha. We actually just finished Saw IV last night, and I've heard amazing things about Saw X so far.
