I consider this forum a community as much as a support site for all things VR and Oculus.Today is Hallowe'en so I wanted to share (and hear) what everyone does to celebrate the occasion!I watch Sleepy Hollow every year. I have watched it every year, without fail, since 2000.I have a Garden Zombie named Fred. He spends ~360 days a year in our back garden but he gets to be the centerpiece of our Hallowe'en decorations. I don't leave him in the front yard because I worry someone is going to steal or damage him.I have a Borderlands Loot Chest (the big red chests in the game) that I got from ThinkGeek. It makes a perfect candy bowl and I use a yellow glow stick to light up the inside. Kids who recognize it from Borderlands get a second pull from the chest. One kid asked for Legendary loot and I gave him a full sized candy bar.Our dogs wear plastic collars that look like heavy iron chains. They sit outside and play with all the kids who Trick or Treat. I think it might be their favourite day of the year.So what do the rest of you do to celebrate All Hallow's Eve?

@zboson Probably because it's a capital city, I can imagine London is pretty great as well!I live in a big-ish town near London and saw lots of kids dressed up going around on my way back from work but no one does those big crazy house decoration you see in the US. Most people here tend to have their own parties with friends/families for Halloween.I'm in my mid 20s so it's just a good excuse for a house party :p

Tonight I plan to step back into The Elevator Ritual. I've only done it once on the Rift, and have been a bit to scared to do so again - Looking forward to any scary horror experiences in VR tonight.

I got married on halloween 7 years ago so ive had all the trick or treating I can handle :))

I had somewhere around 100 kids at my door last night. Our neighbours went out trick or treating with their kids so they left several bowls of candy on their porch. You see all sides of humanity when faced with free bowls of candy. What amazed me was that parents were often worse than the kids when it came to taking more than a fair share. The highlight of the night came when one little guy asked me what the sign on the door said. I replied "It says if you take more than 2 pieces of candy, they release the zombies" He looked at me with eyes wide, full of concern and said "I took 3, what do I do?".I looked shocked and said "RUN!!!!" His parents had a laugh and followed after him.

I have a habit of getting very drunk at Halloween parties but I really don't want to make it a tradition! :D

I'm in the UK so its not as popular here but I live in a block of flats so don't get any Trick-Treaters!

I work half the day.. it's one of the busiest days of the year at the ol' pizza place, as everyone takes their kids out to eat before they go trick or treating.

Also, people around here are fricken weirdos and their kids trick or treat in broad daylight and go home BEFORE it starts getting dark. I don't normally critique how people choose to celebrate a holiday, but c'mon... the adventure of being out after dark as a kid is half the fun of trick-or-treating.

Anyways, once I get home I usually make up for the lost hours by staying up super late, playing halloween-related games or watching movies. One year I binge-read a bunch of Junji Ito comics. Another year I watched Beetlejuice and drank a bottle of wine and ate too much and threw up (hedonism at its finest, lol).

Another year I stayed up all night so I could play through the game "Costume Quest" in one sitting. Another year I did the same with the game's sequel.

Tonight? ... I may put on the Rift and play 'Amnesia' through VorpX.

Most of my Halloween celebrations involve lots of alcohol and public shenanigans. However, now that I'm a dad I pretty much just stay home and plan indoor activities with the family. Typically food, games, and TV shows.

My halloween was going to work, helping students get A* path finding working in an AI robot tournament, get home at 8pm, eat a burger, watch tv, then wait for midnight so I can feel depressed about being a year older.

Around my part of Australia halloween has no presence. It's been many years since I've even seen kids try to trick or treat in our suburb and nobody in the city was dressed up when I passed through on the way home. Australians are generally more interested in the Melbourne Cup horse race which is today (horse racing is boring, but everybody seems to love it for some reason)

If I did celebrate halloween, I definitely would dress up as gluten. :)

I did the Elevator Ritual twice tonight; the 2nd time cause I thought I could get an alternate ending lol

I take my headset off before that final jumpscare tho. Fk that noise...

It's getting more popular here but still nothing like in the US. In Ireland, at least in Dublin, it's huge. Maybe in Belfast as well ? That counts as the UK right? Maybe it's big in Liverpool since there are a lot of Irish descendants there? I think it more or less came to the US from Ireland.

I just played Skyrim Special Edition while my dad handed out the candy. Sadly my dad just started giving out handfuls, so we're out.
