Happy New Year!!
As New Year's Eve rolls in, I just want to wish everyone in this VR community a happy new year.
2016 has been a huge year for VR! 12 months ago we didn't yet have an announced release date for CV1. Over the past year we saw the release of the consumer Rift, Oculus Home and Store, the new forum format, a flood of new members in our little online family, and now we have Touch controllers and a whole new wave of immersive VR content. In 2016 we also saw the growth of mainstream VR with HTC Vive, SteamVR, and PSVR entering the market and providing some healthy competition and consumer choice.
We head into 2017 with huge potential for VR, and can look forward to some great content in the coming months. Congratulations to everyone at Oculus, along with developers everywhere, for making the dream a (virtual) reality!
