- moltonExplorerNope, I live in the US, apparently dumbasses are ordering a ton so they can sell them at a jacked up price at Christmas time, so if you live in the US and you are actually a developer, you have to wait and there's really no answers.
I hope if that's true they Oculus Rift releases and has a ton to sell by Christmas and anybody doing that winds up with a bunch of expensive, outdated prototypes. That would be cool.
Also, they are going for $700 on ebay right now... people can be garbage. - method4everHonored GuestYeah, have to love the scumbugs of society. It is horrible that people are doing that, it is also bad for the development of the hardware and software support by delaying developers access, while the SDK is available they can't test the actual hardware. Roar nothing makes me more upset then when people buy items that others want solely to jack up the prices.
Edit: I am going to IADT and am hoping that my game demo for my degree can be viewed in the oculus rift.. not a full developer but I am learning and buying this for myself.. just wanted to put that out there :). I remember how hard my parents had to search for a PS2 for me when I was a kid due to people trying to resell them in the newspapers and online.. *end rant* - vrHonored GuestI got my rift at ebay (Europe) for 430€ in the US are currently enough "Buy It Now" offers around $400.00. The main reason was that I didn't want to wait.
