Have integrated Intel graphics on your motherboard but use your dedicated GPU? Here is a tip.
So I have recently noticed a drop in performance of some of my applications on windows that used Hardware Acceleration, I thought maybe a dodgy Nvidia driver.
Get this, turns out, that by some strange glitch in the matrix, the applications were trying to use the Graphics Chip on the Intel CPU !!!! totally messing up Hardware Acceleration. Seems some people on the Nvidia forums had a similar issue with their Mining software suddenly trying to access Integrated graphics.
NOTE: This only applies to PC's and motherboards that have some sort of DIsplay port like HDMI/Dvi on them and NOT Laptops,
To solve this I used DDU and removed the Intel drivers, while disabling the automatic update.
