- jwilkinsExplorerThat would be one way to counteract the nausea. Not that I'd know.
- peteclarkelondonHonored GuestLets just say I have 'a friend' that has done this many times so far ;)
And through me this 'friend' will report his findings lol. Anyway, assuming the topic is allowed to stay, I would say it enhances the experience much the same way that I find it to enhance playing videogames or watching certain kinds of movies (those on the more visual side). To sum it up, for me (I mean my friend) it just generally makes it better...more immersive, colours pop more, it's easier to get in the zone and forget about the outside world, and motion sickness is minimized over what I normally feel (although it can still crop up).
Particularly, flying games (Outerra, Heli Hell, First Law) just make me grin from ear to ear. First Law in particular I had a moment where I did forget for a few minutes that I wasn't flying through an asteroid field in real life. On the other hand, the experience is still compelling when not under the influence of anything, but in general I've found it to be just a bit better all round after a visit from Gandalf! Errr, of course I mean my friend!
I'm sure there are other substances that would have a significantly more profound impact, but we can leave that for another thread and my friend won't be studying those. - newrealityHonored Guestlol, your post just made me grin from ear to ear. That's fantastic. I was worried it might be too much, like a sensory overload and not a good thing. Happy to hear rifting can be "enhanced"
- FritoExplorerI dont think its a good idea to leave this thread in the general forum...
But regarding your question, It does help with nausea.
It didnt help me with inmersion tho... but maybe I was too high... or not high enough?
I guess I'll have to keep testing. - geekmasterProtegeI will have to consult with my avatar on that issue. Only he knows the true answer to that question...
- clawjellyExplorerCan't say much about weed, but i had a couple of beers recently and had quite a blast... :D
- ReTHonored GuestUnfortunately I don't smoke, or do anything 'norty' like that, anymore...but a couple of years back I played Need For Speed Porsche 2000, after a few shrooms  . All I had was a mouse/keyboard, and i'll never forget my mate behind me, sitting on my bed, jumped up at one point (he too had been indulging :P ) and tried to grab the 'steering wheel' in fear that I was about to crash the car...knocking me off the chair and gashing my elbow open on the side of the desk in the process. Needless to say, it was about as close to VR as I have ever experienced and pretty impressive that I ended up with a physical wound while driving/crashing a car...as you do in real life :P

Looks like you may need a Razer Hydra for your virtual weed satisfaction!
