HELP! Recording Oculus Rift Videos

Hey guys! I do video for youtube yada yada yada. To get to the point when I record using fraps it saves as .avi, which has never been a problem, however when I record Oculus gameplay with fraps the video takes FOREVER to even load in VLC and when I try to render it in Sony Vegas it takes a good 3 minutes to load a 1 minute clip. It also crashes on rendering. So I was wondering how others record and render Rift videos, any advice?

Specs:
Nvidea GTX 770
8gb RAM
Core i7 920 2.67GHz

    Odd that fraps is doing that, even if it is recording uncompressed.

    You can try camstasia or OBS (obs is more of a streaming thing though) I do find camtasia is extremely slow though. I just checked with OBS, and you can do a "File Output Only" instead of a live stream.
