Help with Cable link quest

I got the cable in hopes that the connection problem would disappear, i installed the oculus app, updated the drivers and connected the headset via cable to my pc's usb 3.0 port. But when i opened Pavlov VR to test it, the game was unplayable, the screen was stuttering, lagging and turning black for a brief second constantly, i could barely close the game. What to do?
