I have two questions: 1. Will private messages be counted towards the post count? 2. If I delete a private message from my side, will it be deleted from the other person's inbox as well?

No, postings on forum and private messages are different things.

Of course not.....if you send an email to a person and delete it after that, the person will still have it in their inbox, right?
With private messages it's just like that.
Unfortunately, when you delete a private message it still stays in the other person's inbox. I hope in some day . this will be fixed .to can undo or delete a private message from both parties at the same time, as well as a way to delete the post or the comments and also fix the problem of the number of posts not decreasing even though the post is reported and no longer visible. And thanks for the reply and I hope my suggestion will be considered and improved someday.
