**slowly backs out of thread** - MadarasExpert ProtegeWell there's actually one other guy too. We don't have a lot in common, I can't say he understands me all that well, he's not particularly a genius and doesn't make much money. He's likes cars a little too much for my liking, but in spite of that he's cute, caring, charming, and funny. So there's a third choice in to mix things up.
And outlander I'm really really looking forward to your thoughts. For all of you guys out there you can pretend they're girls. - outlanderHonored Guest

Well now we're talking!
Who do you get the most excited to see? Who do you find yourself thinking about the most?
What I found personally was scent had a lot to do with how I felt about someone (I'm speaking of natural scent, not perfume or shampoo). I've been with people in the past, who while I do not find their natural scent to be displeasing, I also don't have a fondness for it.
On the other hand those I've fallen in love always had a scent I couldn't get over. Their hair, skin, and clothing afterwards was like a drug to me.
Perhaps take a whiff of each of them? - MegaJenkinsHonored Guest

I know what you mean. Scent is important.
But on the original topic, I REALLY don't want someone with everything in common with me. :D My personality doesn't compliment itself nor do I believe complete understanding between two people is optimal. The little differences, surprises, and "isms" (unique tendencies) of the significant other are what I love the most.
If forced to choose, I'd go with the third option. Income doesn't matter much, if they're realistic with spending and some cars are pure sexy. - JoseHeroic ExplorerI'd choose the genius, because I will impregnate her and we will have ultra-smart genius hacker babies.

That was sort of my feeling too. They all do feel right. I can speak to all three for hours without end. The Filipino smells really good the army officer smells manly (which is good, I don't know what the female equivalent would be) and the car guy smells not particularly bad or good. I don't think I've ever smelled any cologne on him. However as average as the car guy is I feel there's more I can discover from him than the other two. Oh and sexually speaking (which may change your minds may not)
Army guy: great
Car Guy: good

Yes that's my thought too, plus the baby will have that sexy Asian ethnicity. - jrspradlinHonored GuestNot an opinion but an observation. You seem to have more to say about the third choice. Maybe you have decided but you don't know it.
I agree that you don't want someone that is just like you. If that was ideal we could just date a mirror. Differences make life more interesting. The major key to that is can/do you communicate well so there are no differences that cause issues.
My wife hates cars and video games, but brags about all I do with them. Personality wise she is completely opposite which is embarrassing sometimes (not fond of yelling in a store but she has gotten a few things straight that way). Those differences help balance us. Remember it take two to tango and if you both want to lead it gets ugly. But if you balance each other you can go far.
ah young love! - jrspradlinHonored GuestSex! Poor sex never gets better. Good sex will get better if the relationship is good. Great sex will help overcome some things for a time but not forever.
If you don't notice the smell of the car guy there is something else drawing you to him. I still think from what you are saying that he is the one. - MadarasExpert ProtegeWell I think you may be right about the car guy. His averageness is just so off putting for some reason. So I might go with the Rich Chinese Buddhist. Something about being both rich and Buddhist appeal to me. He's also a dentist. Nice to have one of those around. Well I've got to choose one of these fellas. Juggling has never been my strong suit.
