Just because you "watch an anime" and can usually understand a conversation every here and there doesn't really mean you can fully learn another language by just watching anime. (Trust me, I watch anime. I've seen stuff like Sword art online, toradora, and seto no hanayome.) and just watching helps you understand conversation a little.
