Is Subwoofer suitable with Toyota RAV4? Is it possible to upgrade?
I have just purchased a used Toyota RAV4 2006 for sale [LINK REMOVED BY CYBEREALITY] from a Japanese platform since September as my birthday gift for myself. Well, I'm not a rich man
.It runs smoothly and in good condition, however, I'm not really satisfied with its audio working, it does not work very well as I expected. I am thinking about getting the factory Subwoofer for my car, is there anyone used the factory set up? Is it worth the money? I don't like a woofer that will blow my eardrums out.
Has anyone else acknowledged this problem? Many thanks in advance for your suggestions.
I think that the general response to this thread has been
very poor. Please except my apologies on the behalf of everyone else. To correct
matters, please find my advice on the problem….I recommend that you contact Toyota directly and open a
case. Please don’t try to phone them as no number exists. Also expect to create
a totally new userid and password to log your case because for some reason your
standard Toyota id (which you use all the time) doesn’t work.Once you log your
problem be prepared to play a marathon came of “ping pong email” against
someone who’s speaks English as a second or possibly a third language. Don’t
forget to occasionally point out your consumer rights along the way (you will
need too).Eventually (if you
haven’t lost the will to live) you will be randomly asked to submit of video of
the sound problem occurring. Be aware that all efforts to point out that such a
video is pointless will without doubt fall on deaf ears. Then despite your expectations
of continued time wasting… when you eventually submit a video of piss poor phone
cam video (which doesn’t explain the problem any better than your previous
explanations) they will unexpectedly get your repair authorised (unless of
course you live in outside one of the ten countries that Donald Trump can name
from memory).You will then be
asked to bundle all the cars paperwork, manuals, keys & locking wheel nut
adapter back into the original packing that you purchased the car in, to send
it back to Toyota (hope you kept it all in the loft!). Don’t even bother asking
about the extremes of returning the whole thing for just a small fault… parts
and spares are not an option. Also, don’t concern yourself about the amount of
time you will be without a car while it is returned to Japan… they certainly
won’t be.However, do be
concerned about how pissed the UPS guy will be when he sees the size of the box
he is collecting. At this point, try not to punch the guy because you have
waited in all day and he turned up at the very last moment. After a mere wait of
2 weeks, prepare to be surprised when you get sent a totally different RAV4
(they have a policy of just swapping out… in the most inconvenient way feasible).
Spend the next few weeks suspicious that the replacement has a worse windscreen
than the original (but no-one will believe you)Hope that helps?
