Is there any way to get a rift quicker?

Is there any way I can get an oculus rift dk2 without waiting 2 months?

There is an alternative to the Oculus rift if you can fork out $441.46 on amazon when you go to Amazon be sure to put this in the search engine 3D Video Glasses for PC "Nebula" - 98 Inch Virtual Screen, VGA. It's really the closest thing to where the Oculus Rift is heading but maybe $100 above the Oculus. If you wanna look for youtube videos about it I would before actually buying the product its self it looks similar to the Rift in a way. Doing the math and comparing the price range of the Oculus Rift the Nebula is $141.46 above the price of the Rift. Though the price of the Rift could also drop I heard they're trying to go as cheap as possible.

I'm being as patient as possible for the Oculus Rift to be released sorry if it sounds like I'm advertising this is just a suggestion. Regarding the rants about Facebook buying out the Oculus things are still being the same and I'm still going to get it especially for .hack//Fragment. If you want another objective you could try out Project Morpheus which is in development I am not sure if it's out yet or not though.

looks like oculus is slowly closing the gap on the time of order and it being shipped.
i'd legitamately buy it and start working on setting up your pc environment, buying extra peripherals, headphones, etc and just wait it out like the rest. I'd be afraid to buy one off ebay for 500-600 and the whole 3d experience be not what you expected or not what youre eyes can handle.

i'd be patient and just do like im doing now. im working and saving for peripherals and making sure my pc is upgraded for optimal results when i do get it. i ordered on the 14th and i probably wont get mine till next month or early january im hoping.

not only that but youre allowing a couple weeks for developers to create and update more apps for you to try when you finally get it.

What computer specs are needed to use the Oculus on your computer I know you can use any game system that can work the Oculus rift I would think they can use it on the Ps3. I need to work my ass off as well they got kids working bellow my age and I'm stuck here in my parents house. You can easily build a computer from scrap and basic parts for example I can take my shitty e machines apart and replace it with different components and specs LED if I wanted. I just need to take my time and patience with it.
  • Pretty much what everyone said, wait it out like everyone else or pay the premium of not waiting (which could be $150-400). If you're in Europe you may be able to buy from Oculus and get it within a single week, a few people ordered one day and had it shipped 2 days later, which is pretty damn fast all things considered.

Is there a european website I can order the Oculus Rift off of I am actually learning about euros and this could be a good reference for me how many euros is the Oculus Rift going for in Europe any way what's the US Dollar translation? God I actually wish I was in the UK America is up the shit creek right now in my opinion. If I could start a new life I would start in definitely in the UK or Japan some where speaking of doesn't Japan have a release yet anybody know?
  • For European orders, we ship from the UK. It doesn't take very long.

I would recommend everyone purchase from the Oculus website. If you order from 3rd party resellers, you will not get any warranty support and if something breaks you will be on your own. We are also very quick to ship now as we have stock in all regions (the US/Canada backorder should be solved later this week).
