ISEE-3 reboot project - recovering a space probe
While this may not have anything to do with VR (hence my posting it in the off topic area), it does have something to do with technology.

Basically, the probe got launched, then did a bunch of science for NASA. Then... someone threw out all of the equipment for communicating with it. Now, it's finally coming back into earth's sphere of influence. It's going to get damn close to the moon. These guys want to turn it back on and have it burn to be caught in orbit.
They're around 25 or 26 thousand away from their funding goal, with 10 days to go, last I checked.
I figured that there might be a few around here that would be able to help them out a bit more than I could. No money, but I can at least spread word about 'em, I figure. It would be a pity for this bit of space history to zip away from us.
