Seems jaron sees what Norbert Weiner and Tesla predicted. Billions of humans being made obsolete and our society not adapting fast enough to this. As the social contract disintegrates game developers who can't earn money will turn into drug dealers or other criminal elements to survive. A few nights ago here in Seattle 2 young men rushed into my hotel room and threatened me. I had my gun down in the car. Mistake. They got my phone and some cash. Gun is useless if it isn't on u at all times.

I guess I missed the talk. Hopefully it will be uploaded to YouTube or something.

In terms of meeting Jaron, it's not that glamorous. It was back in 1999 (great year by the way) and he came and gave a talk at a college. The talk was great, and afterwards I got to say a few words to him and shake his hand. They also had a VR rollercoaster motion-ride outside the building that was pretty fun. It was one of those experiences that confirmed that VR was really something I wanted to pursue.
